Luigi  Sambuelli

Luigi Sambuelli was born in Turin on June 29, 1957 and got an MSc in Mining Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino in 1982. In 1983, he joined the Politecnico di Torino as a Research Engineer in Mining. In 1992, he took service as an Associate Professor of Applied Geophysics at the Faculty of Engineering, Università di Cagliari. In 1995, he joined the Politecnico di Torino as an Associate Professor of Applied Geophysics. Since April 2015, he has been a Full Professor of Applied Geophysics at the Politecnico di Torino. His main interests are the application of geophysics to very small scales (non-destructive test), to archaeology, tunneling, geotechnics, environment, and hydrogeology. Since 1997, he has been a member of EEGS. Since 1988, he has been on the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics. Since 2007, he has been a member of SEG and an Associate Editor of Near Surface Geophysics. He is a member of the teaching board of the PhD School on Environmental Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino.
