Gerald  Gabriel

 Gerald Gabriel is a researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Applied Geophysics (LIAG) in Hannover, Germany. He received  both his diploma in Geophysics in 1993 and a PhD in 1997 from the Clausthal University of Technology, Germany. In 1998,  he joined LIAG to carry out gravity investigations, especially with-in interdisciplinary research projects. Between 2003 and  2015, he was the coordinator of the research field ‘Terrestrial Sediment Systems’ and also responsible for the potential  field methods of gravity and magnetics. Since 2016 he has been acting head of the section ‘Seismics, Gravimetry,  Magnetics’. His focus is mainly on applied research. Since the winter of 2010/2011, he has lectured at the Leibniz  University Hannover on applied geophysical methods.
