Panagiotis  Tsourlos

Panos Tsourlos holds a degree in Geology (1991) from the University of Thessaloniki, Greece and a PhD in Geophysics (1995) from the University of York, UK. He worked as a Geophysical Consultant until 2000 when he joined the Department of Geophysics, School of Geology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he is currently a Professor of Applied Geophysics. His main research field is the numerical modeling and inversion of geoelectrical data. His research interest is in the application of geophysical techniques in near-surface geophysical problems. He was a recipient of the University of York “K.M. Stott” prize for distinguished postgraduate research work and best paper awards in NSG 2008 and 2012. In 2011, he was a Korean Federation of Science and Technology “Brainpool” programme grandee. In 2013 he was an adjunct visiting Professor in Western Ontario University (Canada).
