 Bing Zhou graduated from Chengdu University of Technology in China with his Bachelor degree in Applied Geophysics and  Master degree in Seismology in 1982 and 1989 respectively. In 1992, he became an Associate professor and  worked at Chengdu University of Technology in China. In 1992 and 1994, he was a visiting researcher at Flinders University of  South Australia and at International Centre of Theoretical Physics in Italy. In 1998, he obtained his PhD in geophysics at the  University of Adelaide in Australia. Since then, he has worked there as a research associate and senior research fellow. He has  been invited as a guest researcher at Lund University in Sweden and as a visiting scholar at Vienna University in Austria,  Federal institute of Technology in Switzerland and Copenhagen University in Denmark. Now, he is an associate professor at  the Petroleum Institute in UAE, an adjunct associate professor at Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue in Canada,  and a research consultant at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in Saudi Arabia. He has expertise in  geoelectric, electromagnetic and seismic modelling and inversion, and published over 60 papers in international peer-reviewed  journals.
